Debut of Making Green Cool Zone at the 2008 SEMA Show

Recognizing the specialty-equipment industry’s commitment to green vehicle products and solutions, SEMA has announced plans to showcase those companies whose involvement in green technologies prove that being environmentally friendly can also be cool. The Making Green Cool Zone will be featured inside the South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, Nov 4-7, 2008.

Products, project vehicles and technologies to be featured in the Making Green Cool Zone can be from either exhibiting SEMA-member companies or non-exhibiting companies. The winners will be selected by a panel of experts drawn from relevant automotive fields.

The SEMA industry recognizes that being green extends beyond specific segments of the market. Going green seems to be no longer an option; about 85% of Americans consider themselves environmentalists according to what John Waraniak, SEMA’s vice president of vehicle technology stated.

Greening-up vehicles offer new and exciting business opportunities for SEMA members and the specialty-equipment industry. A lot of green vehicle technologies will be discussed at the SEMA Vehicle Technology Briefing Seminar: “Clean Diesels, Wild Hybrids and Muscle Electrics” to be held on November 5th at the SEMA Show.
